Lightroom Classic: Hang on Preview Play Export Sidehsow

I've got a Lightroom Classic catalog with 521 images. I selected all and enabled the Slideshow module  and created a new slideshow. When I try to Play or Preview, it hangs up at slide 371.. sits for 5 minutes, then times out. So I removed 371 from the show and tried again, and now it hangs at slide 367 (which it was happy with the previous time). I disabled Zoom to fill frame as advised online, but that made no difference. Would really like the software I have paid for to work (imagine that!)  Mac O/S, lots of RAM, and previous slideshows worked in earlier versions. Have rebooted several times.

Try resetting preferences, might fix it:

Thanks, Andrew. I reset the Preferences and now the Preview/Play doesn't hang up - it finishes, but then doesn't do anything at all. Never previews nor plays...??? Can't export as catalog either...

Next try disabling GPU in preferences; any better?

Moved the entire operation to the PC after resetting preferences allowed me to export a catalog (couldn't do that prior).  So thanks again for the help.

MacOS prior to 11.2 had a memory leak that caused this exact problem. 11.2 fixed it.

That must be the issue, as I am on an older O/S (for emulation reasons...) Thanks for the note.
