Lightroom Classic CCL Quick collection for previewing profiles

Can you explain how this would be different to the favorites? How do you see them being different, other than a clear all switch?

Victoria, I guess I see the favorites as "standing" - that is, they're youre favorites and will remain your favorites except for an occasional change.  But when I'm working on an image and pick out, say, five that i like - but maybe I haven't settled on one, it would be nice to have a quick, but temporary place to keep them. Especially consider the situation where it's a close call,  and you make a few image tweaks and then you want to quickly go through your favorites for that image.

Of course that raises the issue that presumably you'll want to clear them when you go to a new image - which wouldn't be -that- big a concern to me. But I guess in my perfect world, LR could store a profile history! ( I can understand that might cause some eye-rolling; I'll ask for the sky and settle for the moon...)

Hope this is all clear - I hadn't thought it all through clearly, but the need seems real enough.

Maybe an easier restatement:  Quick favorites. A star alongside the favorite star for each profile. To make life easy, there's no "clear", but you can star or unstar a profile. To  make it easy for Adobe,  they disappear when you leave the image so Adobe doesn't have to deal with people asking why their RAW profile doesn't appear on their next jpg image .  They're all gone!

Currently I pick out a few, and then I can click on them in history, but that lasts only until my next development adjustment. Perhaps there's some preset scheme that could work too, but it seems easier to keep them with the Favorites.
