Lightroom classic cc upgrade on HP Windows 7 laptop keeps bluescreening
HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC, 8GB RAM, Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium at service pack 1.
Photos and Lightroom Catalogues are saved on USB 3.0 external drive.
Trying to upgrade to Lightroom Classic CC, keep getting Bluescreen, initially during the catalogue upgrade, which has now completed, but now crashes starting the app.
Anyone seen this problem?

It has crashed when updating the previous version catalogue (5 attempts), or shortly afterwards when opening Classic CC.
I haven't got as far as having a working version open.

I have had this update for sometime and this new Lightroom is the first application that has caused the crash on my PC.
Seems to be working fine now.
Thanks for your suggestions.
