Lightroom Classic CC: Map module going to be discontinued?
Lightroom 7.4 shows me a message when I launch the Map Module which says that the map module is going to be discontinued.

The link shown in the message (www.adobe.com/go/lightroom-map) shows a different message and says it only applies to Lightroom 4 and Lightroom 5.
So we have a contradiction. Can someone explain? Is the map module going to be discontinued for subscribers who currently have Lightroom 7.4?

Thank you for your patience. After additional investigation, it appears this message was appearing by mistake for some Lightroom Classic 7.4 users.
The issue with the errant warning message should be fixed now. You may need to relaunch Lightroom to clear it. If it still appears after a relaunch, you may need to clear Lightroom’s preferences.Quality Engineering - Customer Advocacy

No similar warnings mentioned for Elements. The map module works in the current PSE2018.

Thor Goodrich: Hi, just have question about Lightroom CC Classic map module...
Kanhaiya: Do you want to know if map module is going to be discontinues or not?
Thor Goodrich: Yes, for Lightroom CC Classic v7.4... This support page only indicates LR 4 and 5: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/map-view-no-longer-supported.html
Kanhaiya: This is for older version. It is working in new version.
Thor Goodrich: Yes, but will it continue to work after November 30, 2018?
Kanhaiya: yes it will. In case we have any new update we will update it on adobe website.
Thor Goodrich: Roger. Thank you for the information.

Rikk's message refers to the fact that the error message should not be shown in LR 6 or 7. Not the same thing as actually discontinuing MAP support.
If you are still on LR 4 or 5, perhaps it's time to upgrade?

The rest of the page is more clear now, but since there has already been enough confusion about this matter, I think it would be good to correct this part too, to make it clear it doesn't apply to LR Classic CC.
On a related note, I don't know if an update will finally be necessary or not, but as long as the map Module is being kept, all is good. Thanks.
