Lightroom Classic: Catalog upgrade error

When opening LR "Classic" it asks to UPGRADE the catalog so I allow it to upgrade then it says the catalog is damaged..... So ive checked it in LR CC works fine and I've also got it to do it on a backup and the same message. Ive rebooted and still the same.

What could be the issue as LR CC (original not the "NEW" version) works fine and even created a new backup and that doesn't work either???

But the point is the previous version doesn't think it's damaged and opens it fine

exact same problem, but when I restored the previous LR CC version, it works fine, all my latest updates and presets are there, but I can't do a backup of the catalog anymore, it causes LR to hang. This release looks like a real disaster. Looks like the LR Classic catalog update did some damage to the catalog.

After "upgrading" from LR CC 1015 to LR Classic, I cannot open any existing catalogs.  LR Classic wants to upgrade all 2015 LR catalogs.  The update process hangs during the "Migrate Settings Table" part of the process every time on every catalog.

I have had to download the 2015 version and will continue to use this until this issue is addressed.

Until this is fixed, Lightroom is unusable for any process project.  Please address immediately.

Hi,
How do I upload the catalog file for you, I don't see an "attach" here

When the catalog update crashed, the crash report was sent to Adobe by Apple

As a test, I tried opening/upgrading the same catalogs using a MAC installation of LR Classic, no problems.  Once the catalogs were upgraded, they opened without issue on the PC installation of LR Classic.  Also tried, deinstalling LR Classic (removed settings) and reinstalling on the PC. Same issue with LR CC 2015 catalogs.
