Lightroom Classic: Ability to group Develop Presets

Now that the Develop Mode Presets Panel contains so many presets, it would be great to allow creation of "folders" to group them and shrink the height of the panel when open. In addition, as many of us will likely choose a few to use frequently, it would be great to have a way to move selected presets to a "Favorites" folder. This way, we can "hide" all the groups of presets and open only the favorites folder so it is a short list for day to day work

Have you noticed you can already mark individual presets as favorites, and they're grouped at the top of the list?

Yes, I am aware of this but I like to view the presets panel along with the history panel so I prefer to display my favorites at the bottom. Now that the list is so long, it is cumbersome. It is not the end of the world but it would be nice if this allowed me (or they did it) to make a master folder for LR presets and select my favorites and move them to a folder of my choice! Just a suggestion!

Hi Joel,

which version of Lightroom you are using? If you are on 7.4 then you can use "Manage Presets" from the "+" button at the top right of preset panel. You can hide groups which do not want to see. It will be lot easier and safer to do set visibility of preset groups using "Manage Presets". Let me know if that helps.

Thanks,
Ganesh

I found where the Default presets and profiles live, and they can be deleted altogether, if that helps. I added that information to the related post that I linked in my previous reply.

If you use "Manage Presets" and hide unnecessary presets, it will remove the clutter from the preset panel, instead of deleting from the disk.

Thanks,
