Not a problem

Lightroom classic 9.2 - Detail zoom window in develop shows different sharpening than main window

Lightroom 9.2, but I do not now whether earlier versions have the same behaviour.

In develop the main window does show a different sharpening then the detail window in the Details dialog!
In Library the sharpening of the detail window is applied
When exported the sharpening of the detail window is applied (no export sharpening)

The diffence is very visible. Any check of sharpening on main window is quite useless!

System is windows, all drivers are kept up to date (I hope...).

The screenshot is a 100% zoom and it is VERY visible!

anybody the same problem?

Yes, virtually all earlier versions behaved this way. You must view sharpening and NR in Develop, ideally at 1:1 or greater. The Library module uses a completely different preview architecture.

The comparison is in develop at 1:1 and this should use the identical pipline

They should be in Develop, when you are at 1:1 and they are identical on this end. If you don’t see this, try disabling GPU in your preferences and see if they match.

Mine looks exactly the same. I agree with Andrew that it is likely related to GPU . Try with it off and see...

I disabled the GPU and now they are identical! Very strange behaviour bug or feature? GPU enabling is quite useless, if the display pipline cannot handle this correctly!

Do you know any workaround

GPU issues are common due in part to the vast number of GPU hardware/software implementations. You can keep it off and ‘suffer’ some performance hits or keep it on and ignore the previews outside of the Detail window. You may find other areas of preview mismatch with it ON.

Not sure why your system does this but I can tell you that GPU for all features dramatically improves performance for me. It is a big boost with sliders, brushes, and lots of other features.

Yes I know the difference, thats the reason why I updated my GPU to a very recent model. This driver of this card is Photoshop/Lightroom enabled. It is a different driver than the gaming drivers. This makes it even stranger

I checked the NVIDIA Studio driver, a very recent release was published in Feb. which I did not notice before. I updated the driver to following Version: 442.19 - Type DCH.

Now everything is fine again.
