Lightroom Classic 7.3 Import Problem
After importing images from a camera card, I now have close LR 7.3 to import from another card. I've been using LR since version 2, this is a new issue that I've not seen before. Frustrating...doesn't Abode bug test their software releases?

Sorry for my lack of clarity. The background:
- I'm running Windows 10, 16-gig ram, system is up-to-date on all updates.
- Lightroom is set to not import suspected duplicates, and to automatically eject cards after import.
- My camera is a Nikon D7100, also updated with current firmware.
- All images are RAW, converted to DNG on import.
The LR performance issue:I often take a few images and import them, then take a few more images and import them. In all past versions of LR, this has worked without having to exit LR. With the LR version 7.3, I must close and restart LR in order to import each series of images.
Below is as step-by-step description of the problem and my 'work-around':
- Capture images and import them into LR;
- Using the same card as step 1, shoot additional images. Then, after inserting the card into the card reader and activating the Import dialog, LR finds the card and displays the previous images but NOT the new images.
- The workaround to successfully import the additional images:
If it would help to discuss the issue by phone, I am willing to do that. I am located in the Pacific Time Zone.I've tried closing the import dialog, ejecting the card, and repeating the import sequence; again, only the previous images are displayed.
Remove the card, close & restart LR, re-insert the card and go through the import sequence.
I have also experienced other issues with 7.3. If you can advise me on the background you need and how I might best describe the issues, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Art Davis

Thanks for letting us know. I could reproduce the issue with your instructions. Looks like the side effect of a performance enhancement we tried.
Please try the following workaround and let us know:
1. Goto the Preset folder. (Preferences > Preset > Show Lightroom Preset.)
2. Gointo the Lightroom folder.
3. Create a file named config.lua file.
4. Add the following entry in the file created above:
ImportSourceScanner.useOldScanner = true
5. Restart Lightroom.
Thanks,
Sunil
