Lightroom Classic 7 Stand-alone Availability

I have been a Lightroom user since version 2.  Now, as I have version 6, I was talking to sales to see how I could upgrade a version 7.  Sales just told me that they are not interested in discussing any sale that isn't a subscription.  I am a home user.  I can't pay hundreds of dollars to access my own pictures.  I have been left behind by Adobe and Adobe is no longer interested in my money (they said).  I will switch and will not be back.  You won't have to tell me twice that I'm now undesirable.

I've found at least 2 other software

ON1 PHOTO RAW
ALIEN SKIN EXPOSURE

Need to give a try
Or to buy the 2 for 200$ (something 10 months adobe fee)

Oliver - that comparison is inaccurate The Photography Program which includes Lightroom Classic CC and Photoshop is 9.99/month in the US. It also includes access to the complete mobile environment.

You are right Rick. It is 10 month for only one competitor.

In euro, the Photoplan (20Tb or LR CC 1Tb) is 11,69€ (incl. tax) or equivalent of 13,41$
And the whole photopln  with 1Tb is 23,99 (incl. tax) or equivalent of  26,84$.

I have to admit the mobile environnement is a plus. (furthermore in iOS it is possible to print or share, contrary of Mac OS/WIn version)

Windows goes facial recognition, layer, migration tool from LR. Not on Mac (as far I know)
I own it on my Mac. Just a toy. It is good for my wife's collection.

Yep. I'm upset about the Lightroom subscription service.  Just can't justify the cost for what i do.  I periodically check the site to see if anything has changed,  Same thing with PDF.  Found a very cheap alternative that doesn't rape your wallet.
