LIGHTROOM - changing date taken for many pictures at once
changing date taken with many pictures selected doesnt work correct. If the active pic has the wanted date, selecting "setting time" (first option) and clicking "changing all" does nothing. If you give another date, only some pic changes the date!! (Lightroom 6.3, no cloud version"

You may want to try the automate batch option here. You record a certain action to make it an automatic action in the future.
Hope this helps: http://photography.tutsplus.com/artic...

When you choose the first option of Metadata > Edit Capture Time, Adjust To A Specified Date And Time, all of the selected photos' capture times are shifted by the amount of correction applied to the target photo. So if you don't change the Corrected Time at all, the adjustment is zero, and no change will be made to any of the photos.
The Edit Capture Time window tries to explain this:
Though based on the continued feedback on the forums, it seems many people are still getting confused by it.
If you want to set many photos to have the same exact date/time, unfortunately LR doesn't provide any way to do that. You'd need to use an external program like Exiftool or a third-party plugin such as this: http://www.photographers-toolbox.com/...

Nothing is easier in Elements Organizer.
Maybe this could be a valid feature request for LR?

@John:
You are right! I've misunderstoud this feature. I would not have, if i would have read the text exactly. (But the text explains this correct only, if you selected more than one photo!) (Much worse! I've used this feature before in the right way!)
But:
The about 12 photos did have the same date/time when i started! and only some have been changed correct, some did get different other dates! But I cant reproduce it now! I think, there is something wrong here. I will post again, if i can reproduce it or can say the circumstances when it fail's.
@John: feel free to merge this with the feature request you mentioned.
Once again many thanks to all for answers and tips like photographers-toolbox! And feel although free to correct my english.
