LightRoom CC will not always restart after having been closed in Win 10 64 bits. Reboot needed ... not fun.

1. Do a computer reboot/re-start
2. Open Lightroom
3. Open the Task Manager. (CTRL+ALT+DELETE)
4. Right-Click on the App- Adobe Photoshop Lightroom-
5. Select the option "Go to details"-
6. Right-Click on "Lightroom.exe"
7. Click on [Set Priority]
8. Set the Priority to "High"
9. Close Task Manager.
10. Close all programs and Re-Boot the computer
11. As you open Lightroom- Reset the Preferences by holding down [SHIFT+ALT].
Check LR closes correctly.0

Why the import locked up, I do not know, could you select/de-select files in the import window?
If you "cancel out of LR" or the software crashes, then a file exists that prevents the Catalog from re-opening. That file ends with the file-name-extension { .LOCK } and must be deleted (if present) to allow the Catalog to re-open.
Sometimes, adding a few extra photos to an existing folder/directory in the Lightroom folder panel, can be done by a Right-click on the folder (in LR) and choosing "Synchronize folder..."
