LightRoom CC will not always restart after having been closed in Win 10 64 bits. Reboot needed ... not fun.

I have the standalone version LR 6.5. I don't see this issue. I wonder what's different?  I have Win 10 Home/64bit

Chack Task Manager, and if you see Lightroom remains in memory after closing, then this procedure might stop the problem-

1.      Do a computer reboot/re-start

2.      Open Lightroom

3.      Open the Task Manager. (CTRL+ALT+DELETE)

4.      Right-Click on the App- Adobe Photoshop Lightroom-

5.      Select the option "Go to details"-

6.      Right-Click on "Lightroom.exe"

7.      Click on [Set Priority]

8.      Set the Priority to "High"

9.      Close Task Manager.

10.  Close all programs and Re-Boot the computer

11.  As you open Lightroom- Reset the Preferences by holding down [SHIFT+ALT].

Check LR closes correctly.

Some more info about the problem, as it happened again. Before having this no restart problem, I imported a directory with photos. Later I added a few extra photos in that same directory, and I tried to import them too, in the same work session and without LR having been closed in between. LR import locked up, and I had to cancel out of LR. After that, LR would not restart. That import module seems a little wacky, according to the many complains I read here ...

Some thoughts-
Why the import locked up, I do not know, could you select/de-select files in the import window?

If you "cancel out of LR" or the software crashes, then a file exists that prevents the Catalog from re-opening. That file ends with the file-name-extension { .LOCK } and must be deleted (if present) to allow the Catalog to re-open.

Sometimes, adding a few extra photos to an existing folder/directory in the Lightroom folder panel, can be done by a Right-click on the folder (in LR) and choosing "Synchronize folder..."

Lately, it displays the Catalog list, but none will open. The icon appears to refresh, then nothing. No record of it in Task Mgr.
