Lightroom CC 2015.6: Library filter, Locations shows "Unknown Location"

The Map Location field in the Library module's Metadata filter should list your Saved Locations from the Map module and the count of images that are tagged within the distance radius you specified for that Saved Location.

Here's an example of the Saved Locations in the Map module -



And here's what shows in the Metadata filter in the Library module -



"Current Map Location" contains anything that falls on the map that's currently showing in the Map module.

"Unknown" contains anything that doesn't fall into what you've defined as your Saved Locations.  Just because an image is in "Unknown", it doesn't mean it isn't geotagged.

Do your City, State and Country show up correctly in the Library Filter?

Whoops...just realized I may have misread your original post.  I had it in my head you were talking about the "Map Location" field, when you just wrote "Location".

"Location" actually shows/filters on what's in the "Sublocation" field in the Map module.





You can also change that filter to a hierarchical view that allows you to drill down through the country, state, city, etc.  To change the view, click the little button on the right of the filter and choose "Hierarchical" from the drop down and you'll get something like this -

Problem fixed by manually entering the Sublocation. Thanks for your help!
