Lightroom CC 2015.6: Crashes when using Smugmug export plug-in
I updated to LR CC 2015.6 and when I attempt to use my Smugmug export plug in (which has been working fine until now) it crashes LR. I have also contacted Support for the plug in and they never heard that a plugin could crash LR.

It's very rare but certainly possible for a plugin to crash LR -- I just fixed a bug in one of my plugins that crashed LR.

What actions trigger the crash? E.g. after clicking Publish when you've added a new photo to a published collection?
Please post a crash log here -- that will help Adobe troubleshoot. See https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1889519 for details.

(The problem with freezing is that there is no crash report.)
It is not a problem with the plugin. I have this freeze with SmugMug's publish plugin AND with Jeffrey Friedl's plugin.

There's a fixed amount of time after the progress bars go away, maybe 5 sec. at most. What I've decided to do is use that time to terminate Lightroom (if I'm looking at the screen) with a Ctrl-Q. If not, I just kill it.
NOTE: No crash log. It is a freeze, not a crash.

Also, do you see memory use spike in the Task Manager when your Lightroom freezes? Have you tried Adobe tech support? I have done all the normal troubleshooting steps they advise but am reluctant to let them take remote control of my PC because of a bad experience before...

Rename: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom to something else, restart LR, and all is well.
So, it was one of the preference or preset files that LR couldn't handle. Still a LR bug (nothing like this should cause a hang), but at least I am past it.
Note that if you want any presets or settings back, you can one-by-one copy them into the active folder (recreated by LR), making sure that behavior is OK after each copy.
UPDATE: That was actually not the fix. When I launched LR from a newly-created user account, it did work, and I thought removing the AppData would do the trick, but it did not. Near as I can tell, however, it does work in the new user account, so maybe it's a registry problem. Anyway, I'm going to just move to that new user account, in the hopes that the problem then goes away for good.

Its crashing when try to modify galleries in the SmugMug plug-in. Its just until recently, has been seamless until an update was done. Can't modify galleries at all. It crashes.
I am using current versions on a iMac. SmugMug said to roll back LR but I have 33K photos and don't want to make any drastic changes.
