Lightroom: CC 2015.2 on MacOS 10.11 crashes
Lightroom 2015.2 has killed my capacity to work - it is constantly crashing (and yes, I have ticked off the box in the preferences)
How can we go back to 2015.1
Adobe, how can you have gotten this so wrong?

Yes we must contact Adobe technical support and tell them.
Otherwise they will never know and the occasional person that does report the problems will not be believed.

Those will provide a lot of context for the team to investigate. If you're willing, please provide your email address (in case we need to contact you if your situation is unique) and a brief description of what you are doing inside Lightroom when the crash happens. The development team is actively monitoring the reports looking for any patterns.

LR 2015.2 quits frequently on my Macbook Pro Retina. 2015.1 worked well without major problems. The newest quits after a few minutes repeatedly. How do I get my problem into the system so this problem can be fixed.

when I start a new catalog, it will live until I add a picture.
The same issue happens in a new user and after reinstalling.
I am really disappointed that Adobe would push such a terrible update without proper testing. Everybody loves the frequent updates through Creative Cloud, but if Adobe can not QC properly at this pace, they should revert to a less frequent update schedule.

Adobe is aware of the issue & we are working on a fix.
Please refer to the link below for the same.
If they have questions of comments about the changes, point them to the Lightroom team blog post on the subject here:

Also, in order to keep the updated Lightroom working please refer to link below:

for those that have the same problem that I had, that LR was crashing so fast that you could not get to the settings...
- Start up with "opt" or "alt" held down.
- choose to create a new empty Catalog
- Disable the offending setting
- restart LR with "opt" and select your proper catalog
This Workaround seems to have done the trick for me.

Having updated Lightroom this morning onto my iMac running El Capitan, Lightroom opens ok but as soon as I click IMPORT or try to edit an existing photo, the App just closes with no warning or message. What's going on guys?

Computer: iMac, OS X El Capitan 10.11. After the El Capitan update Photoshop and Lightroom continued to work without any problems.
After latest Lightroom CC update:
LR crashes regularly (that means without any exception) when attempting
1. to save metadata to the file (by any means / via menue or by shortcut - ctr s),
2. to convert RAW files into DNG,
3. to export files into LR.
No way to get it to work. First time ever, I encountered problems with LR or Photoshop. Looks like a bug.

Just updated to the latest version of Lightroom CC and it keeps crashing (not responding) at random points; tethered capture, adjusting photo, exporting, etc. It happens every couple of minutes.

Since upgrading to Lightroom 2015.2 I have seen three key bugs/problems. Firstly the UI has become extremely sluggish to the point of being unusable. This has improved since unticking the "show 'add photos' screen". Secondly, LR does not appear to fully shut down and I have to go into Task Manager to shut down the app in the task list before I can successfully start the program again. Thirdly, despite ticking the 'once a week' option on the library back up, I am being prompted for this every time I exit LR.
I'll be reverting to 6.1 until these are fixed!

I am running Mac OS X 10.11 on a 27" iMac. I initially thought it was an import issue so I tried using a different memory card (I have dual slots and backup to the second card), copied the images directly into the appropriate folder in Finder, etc with no success.
I found it wasn't specific to importing when trying to look at images in another folder.
Closing and relaunching the program doesn't resolve it.
Uninstalling and reinstalling a new copy of LR 2015.2 doesn't resolve it.
I verified that all of my applications and OS are 100% updated did a full shut down and restart... no luck.
I have a lot of work to do and am increasingly frustrated.
