Lightroom: Can't upload to Blurb for books with 2 page spread

Any book I create with 2 page spread cannot be uploaded to Blurb. Anyone else have this issue?

Do you get an error from Blurb? Are you able to export the book as a pdf?

Jeff,

I get the error within LR4 after it tries to upload for a bit. I also get a similar error when I try to export to PDF (see image below). When I take out the 2 page spreads, it uploads and exports fine.

What book size are you using? Does this happen with all the 2 page spreads?

Thanks for the quick reply!

Jeff,

It happens with all sizes (I've tried them all). I am not sure what you mean by "all the 2 page spreads." Do you mean all the different 2 page layouts? If so, I have only tried 3 of them, and it happens with them all. So long as there is at least one 2 page spread, the error occurs.

I am having the same issue but, instead of getting the error message, the process does not end.

Hi I am having the same problem :( When I upload my photo book all the pages are shifted by one page and all of my 2 page spreads are split. I have tried adding pages but that results in the LR4 module just adding an extra blank page in front of of the first 2 page spread. When that book is uploaded the book has the right page order until it hits the un removable extra page that LR4 module inserted and from then on all the pages are shifted by one with the 2 page spreads once again separated.
It appears to me that the LR4 module has 'forgotten' to include the inside side of the cover which automatically results in all pages being shifted by one when uploaded. This you can compensate for as long as there are no 2 page spreads. The LR4 module is not able to link a 2 page spread which means there is a fundamental incompatibility between it and whatever system blurb uses that DOES include this 'invisible' page when uploaded. Or am I missing something? I have been battling for three days now trying all kinds of page combinations and am about ready to pull my hair out!
Therefore is it possible to transfer a book created in LR4 to the standalone booksmart and does anyone know if the problem is resolved??
This is pretty catastrophic for photographers as wanting two page spreads is hardly a rare thing.
Anyway if someone out there has a solution i would LOVE to hear it
thanks Olga

in LR4, anyone having problems exporting Book as PDF? Also in book module, when I use the slider on a page to zoom the photo in/out, it will vanish in the middle of sliding it. Takes 2/3 tries to get it to stay on screen.

PDF export of book does not work for two-page spread layout (stops with error)
The export stops in the moment when the two-page spread is reached. :-(
Moving the two-pager postpones the error.
(I use the german version)
I would love this to be fixed in 4.1 ... :-)
