Lightroom: Any chance of choosing between buttons and sliders in Develop mode?
Along with many other conference/event photographers, I need to work on large numbers of images in a fast and efficient manner. Mostly, quick color and density adjustments, and crops. As things are now, that means making color and density adjustments in the Library mode, with its quick +- buttons (way faster than sliders), and then another pass through the images in the Develop mode to do crops (or constantly going back and forth between modes).
Since Adobe has made it quite clear that we can't have the crop function in the Library mode, how about an option to choose between buttons and sliders in the Develop mode, maybe under Preferences? That way we could do everything we need in the Develop mode. I'm no programmer, but that shouldn't be too difficult to implement, and it would make life SO MUCH easier for us when we're working on deadline. It would be fine if we just had that option for the "Basic" segment, and all the other adjustments stayed as sliders.
How about it, Adobe?

What is it that makes the button easier? The key difference between the buttons and the sliders is that the buttons are making relative adjustments and the sliders are making absolute adjustments. Is it that you want to be able to make relative adjustments in the Develop module? Or do you just like clicking a button more than dragging a slider?
If it's just that a click is easier than a drag, then you might try this: position the cursor over the slider in question, and then press the up or down arrow keys. This will change the value of the given slider in preset increments. Holding down shift while you press the arrow key will adjust by larger increments.
Or is it something else? I'm just trying to understand the heart of the issue.
Thanks,
Ben

That would take care of the problem of switching back and forth, and relative dev adjustments (or absolute) always at the ready...
'twould be especially cool for those of us with >1 monitor - full-screen image on one monitor - thumbs and lib+dev panels on the other - Lr-ecstacy/post-processing-nirvana...
Bonus Idea:
----------------
Integrate all modules and support >2 monitor configurations: full-screen fit-view image on one, full-screen 1:1 image on another, thumbs on its own monitor, and all previews/panels spread out on the remaining monitors... - excuse me while I go take a shower and change clothes... ;-}
Summary:
-------------
I think Adobe needs to adjust their thinking UI-wise - instead of selecting a module for workflow phase, allow the user to fill monitor real-estate with whatever views/panels they are using at the moment...
