Lightroom: Adding watermark to MyPortfolio straight from Lightroom

Please allow watermarks to be added when making images available to Portfolio from Lightroom Classic. There is no way I am going to publish my photos on Portfolio unless I can watermark them. Have you any idea how much time, money ad effort goes into obtaining a really good nature image? These are not holiday snaps published just for a laugh. I do not want them pirated. And I do not want the hassle of exporting watermarked pdfs - if so, why would I bother using Portfolio, which is supposed/assumed to integrate with your other products? Thanks

During Export you can automatically add a watermark.

Yes you can, when exporting for print or creating a jpg etc. You can then upload the watermarked jpg into a page in Portfolio. That works fine - and being very new (day 1) to Portfolio, I have just figured out how to upload like this. But one option in Portfolio is to link directly to the raw image in a Lightroom collection; but when linking like that there is no option to add a watermark, which is a bit silly. Other contributors have raised the same issue, and as far as I understand it someone from Adobe (?) has responded and acknowledged that this is something that might be added in future. I am just adding my voice to request that this is done. Thanks for your reply. It is valid and very worthwhile realising that what you have suggested does work. And I will do that myself, at least until I no longer have to.

As I said before, it's in the Export Dialog, where it belongs!

You guys are really all missing the point here... he's asking about Adobe Portfolio shares of a Lightroom Album, where images are susceptible to being snapshotted.
