Lightroom 6.2 and 6.2.1: Are just awful - unusable . . . .
Updated Lightroom to 6.2 - the software is now awful - very buggy and crashing all over the place. Updated to 6.2.1 as soon as Creative Cloud notified me of the update. I now have a Lightroom that is working at a crawl - its not crashing now, but its not doing much else. Selecting folders or collections has no effect. Scrolling in library view is sooooo slow. Metadata filters are not showing in library view at all. Lightroom 6.2.1 is unusable. Please sort it ! !

Other examples - I did a B&W conversion and the color sliders would not show up...had to reboot. I attempted to use the clone tool and I could not get the tool to actually move beyond the tool tray on the right and onto the photo...had to reboot.
I'm letting LR idle in the back ground as I type...it's pegged at 95.2 CPU Utilization.
Painful.

In activity Monitor, Lightroom is taking between 90 and 121% of CPU
Also - I don't see the film strip at the bottom any longer. The space for it is there on my screen, but no images appear.
Quitting and re-starting fixes the issue for 20 seconds. Although this last time that I tried quitting, it took all night to have the Lightroom screen disappear, but the icon is still present in the Mac list of running apps, and it hasn't quit. But the icon is not showing up as an "unresponsive application" in the Force Quit dialog.
I am running this on a newest version MacBook Pro with El Capitan. My catalog is set to export the XMP files as soon as I make a change.

LR 6.2.1 is a mess. I'm unable to work other than extremely slowly. I can't believe this update passed any sort of QA.
Adobe: I strongly suggest you find as many of these complaints as you can, then add us to your beta process prior to the next general update release.
Truly terrible...
