Lightroom 6.14 map module does not query city, country,...

I'm using Lightroom 6.14.

My camera does not have a GPS module - so I always add GPS data to my photos within map module in  Lightroom. I drag'n'drop my photos on the map and the GPS metadata are filled out automatically by Lightroom. Till my last use of Lightroom, Lightroom has automatically populated "city", "country" and so on after dragging photos to the map.

Today I noticed, that Lightroom only added GPS coordinates and "altitude", but NO "city", "country", "state",...

In "Catalog settings" I do have checked "Lookup city, state and country of GPS coordinates to provide address suggestions".

I restarted Lightroom and rebooted Windows 10, but the problem still exists.
I tried with serveral locations, but the problem still exists.

I believe this temporary outage has been addressed by our partner at Google. No need to do anything on your part, Lightroom will pick it up from where it left off.

But starting November 30, Map view will permanently stop working in LR 6 / CC 2015?

Simon, do you think you may be referring to a different issue - the rate limiting problem I have reported?

According to our contact, google has been migrating some of their backend server stuffs, some configuration settings got misconfigured.

It may also help to use the Geoencoding-Plugin von Jeffrey Friedl which I can highly recommend.

Support changes cover older versions, not LR6.

I run 6.12 and I have noticed now you have mentioned it that manually entered map positions only add the co-ordinates and altitude info, whereas in-camera geo-tagged images have the full data set. Not sure if this a recent 'change' or always thus.

It doesn't matter much to me as I always add keywords for Country, City/Town and street as well as camera and lens.  It doesn't take long and it improves the searchability within LR or externally in say Flickr.
