Lightroom 6: External Editing - Files not properly renamed

You know how Lightroom 6 (non CC) is supposed to rename a file as MyFileName-Edit.TIF (In my case with the settings I have chosen it should show -Retouch instead of -Edit) when you click on Edit in Photoshop CS6? Mine doesn't do that, it keeps the original name which is very confusing, please fix this! This is seriously messing with my workflow.

Aurora,

Can you post a screen capture of your Preferences>External Editing screen?

Hi Rikk, thanks for the quick reply, my wifi module is broken so I can not upload a screenshot but have taken a photo instead:

Have you tried saving those Custom Settings as a preset template by clicking the Template: pulldown and selecting Edit and then Saving the Current Settings as a New Preset in the Filename Template dialog?

Yes, I have tried that, I have a preset saved for Filename-Photoshop but I just recently decided -Retouch sounds better.

I seem to have a couple issues withfile naming in Lightroom at the moment. Have you seen my other bug report? http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh...

I can't duplicate what you are seeing here.

I would recommend resetting your preferences to see if that unsticks it.
Exit Lightroom
Hold down [Shift][Alt/Opt] while launching Lightroom
Reset Preferences when prompted.

Thanks so much, that seems to have fixed it. Perhaps this was related to me uninstalling Lightroom 5, and deleting the wrong preference file or something?
