Lightroom 6 crashes in Slideshow mode. Also, the music in slideshows made with LR5 is gone.

The music I added to prior slideshows is gone but the other settings are the same.

Crashes in Slideshow mode occurs when leaving the play mode.

Does a new Slideshow create and run? Or, does it crash too?

I used an existing slideshow to check out the pan and zoom function that I found underwhelming. I, changed the slide duration with no problem. It was only when I escaped from the slideshow that it crashed.

What OS version are you using?
What does the detailed crash report say?

I am using Windows 7 and have all Windows updates.
The message says< "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has stopped." Then there is a box that says, "Close Program."

Please, do not forget to find a way to restore my music.
Thanks.

We need to see the detailed crash report - from the system event viewer or reliability reports.

Yep.

You are crashing in your ATI video card driver.
Try updating the driver from AMD/ATI's website. If that doesn't work, you may need to uninstall the driver completely, then reinstall (to remove old bits that got stuck).

I updated to the latest driver Rev. 13.9 dated 10/15/13 and received a successful test report. Again I crashed. Don't you think that LR6 is the problem? Here is the report:

still crashing in the ATI driver - but LR engineering will have to take a closer look.

And AMD/ATI updates their drivers every few months - so unless you have a 6+ year old video card, the latest driver should be more recent.

By the way my graphics card is 6+ years old and the driver update of Oct. 2013 is the latest.

OK, that answers why the driver wasn't recent. Do you know what GPU model you are using?

My GPU is an ATI Radeon HD4800. It came with the computer purchased in January 2009.

Since the Radeon HD4800 series card is underpowered for LR6, what specification would you suggest for another card that would EASILY handle LR6, Photoshop CS6 and a video editing software?

Here is my update. I replaced my video card with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 with 2 GB of RAM. This required me to replace my 350 watt power supply to support the new video card. These hardware additions solved the problem with crashing on Lightroom 6.
The music to the slideshows is still lost, however. Possibly, Adobe can fix this in a new release.
