Lightroom 5.6 Slidesow arrows still not functioning
The Lightroom 5.2 Slideshow advance/previous arrows were not functioning in win 7. I understood a bug report had been issued to that effect. I just installed v. 5.6 and it has the same problem

Make sure that in the Slideshow Module, you've designated one of your templates to be used for the Impromptu slideshow. If you haven't yet, then a default template will be used set to Automatic playback. Right click a template that has a Manual playback setting and choose: "Use for Impromptu Slideshow"
Also make sure that in that template, that Manual is selected for playback.
From there the impromptu slideshow should have functioning Arrow keys for advancing images.

"This used to be a really useful feature and now when showing clients images in a slideshow its a real hassle having to stop the slideshow, go back and then restart. Takes time and more importantly breaks the flow of showing images to clients."

It's pretty basic functionality that other slideshow programs support.

I just updated to the latest version (LR 5.7) and unfortunately the bug wasn't fix again!
Could you please!!! hurry up fixing this issue? Why does it take ages to solve this problem? It's known for over 7 months.
