lightroom 5 to 6 catalogue images gone

Question

I deleted a LR5 version from my mac. Then I had a hard drive update backup to my passport drive. then i installed a new version LR6 as DVD! And when I entered there the LR and plugged in my passport drive there are no images in my LR6. Can anyone help please? I am new to it. Where are the images? Thanks a lot :)

Use spotlight to search for a file called Lightroom Catalog or with a .lrcat extension. By default, it'll be in your Pictures folder, but you might have put it somewhere else, like your external drive.
