Lightroom 5: Camera disconnects when tethering

On long exposures, like 10 to 30 seconds, LR will looses the camera. If I just remove and put back the USB cable, the camera is found again.

Any ideas?

Trying tethering using LR5 - Canon 7D - MBP. LR5 finds the camera, 7D says busy and nothing works. Using USB from canon. Any ideas?
