Lightroom: 3.4 update mechanism fails to check for update

Starting this morning Adobe Lightroom 3.4 fail to check for update when I hit Check for Update in the software. It used to work fine until this morning. What go wrong? Can someone tell me how can I get it back to work?

I'm sure my Internet connection work fine (as I'm writing now)

The error dialog read:

The version check was unsuccessful.
This is probably a result of one of the following.

• Your internet connection is not currently available.
• The server containing the version data is not available at this time.

Check your internet connection and/or try again later

Fix please and get it back to work!!!

The update is now live for Lightroom. Choose Help>Updates... to get the 3.4.1 update.

Thanks for everyone's patience.

Adobe Lightroom 3.4 cannot check for update starting today
When I click Check for Update in Adobe Lightroom 3.4 the following dialog pop up:

The version check was unsuccessful.
This is probably a result of one of the following.

• Your internet connection is not currently available.
• The server containing the version data is not available at this time.

Check your internet connection and/or try again later.

I'm sure that my Internet connection is fine (I'm writing to you now) and it work fine until this morning

Fix please and what go wrong

Here's on Knowledge Base document on this issue:

Update not available | Lightroom 3

The update mechanism has been temporarily turned off until we can address this issue:

Potential JPEG Bug in Lightroom 3.4 and Camera Raw 6.4

It will be reenabled once the 3.4.1 update is available next week.

Yes. It was intentionally disabled until we have a 3.4.1 update to address this issue:

I tested this on my Mac and get the same result at present, so its definitely not something unique to your computer and can confirm its related to the updater service in Lightroom. As an alternative, you could download and install the 3.4 update directly off our website if you wanted.

Update in LR reports that internet connection is not available or the server data is not available.
And why has the bug report form been removed and everything sent here? Is this site actually monitored by support?

The post I linked to above answers that question:

"There are no plans at this time to replace the current user to user forums except for the forums covering Feature Requests. As of May 17th, 2011, the feature request forums on the user to user forums have been archived and a message has been posted directing users to submit their requests here on this feedback site."
