Lightoom 6.3: After update I can't open any video files
After Lightoom 6.3 update, lightroom won't open video files, won't import any files if any video file is present in the folder.
Nothing else changed in the system, just lightroom 6.3 update.
I been using lightroom since version 3, I installed every version, every update of lightroom since version 3, all version of 4, all version of 5.
Everything was working till version 6.2.1.
Right now i'm running Windows 10, before was running 7 and 8, and 8.1.
What was changed in 6.3 to break all video support?
And no I don't have quicktime installed, I never had quicktime installed, it always worked without quicktime. No apple software will ever touch my PC.

After 6.3 has been released I gave it a try.
Unfortunately I am unable to import any Videos recorded with my Canon Camera.
The temp folder is being created and i see the video in the temp folder, the import process however hangs forever.
If I cancel the import I can switch to the develop module and work there, but switch back to the import module it still says "files are being imported" and I can*t start a new import.
Unfortunately I'm not able to test this funcionality on 5.x due to business reasons.
Any Ideas?

Every version before 6.3 works, 6.3 is busted.

It has nothing do to with GPU driver.
6.2.1 with same driver = works
6.3 with same driver = doesn't work
go back to 6.2.1 with same driver work
GPU acceleration is on and functional.
the only variable that changed is the version of lightroom, and 6.3 breaks all video support, it won't display videos already in library, won't play them.
And if you try to import files and video file is present it will hang import and lightroom just sits there for hours doing nothing.

6.2 and 6.2.1 OK
6.3 fails complete
never testet with 6.1 and 6.0
Reverted back to 6.2.1 due to the video import problem tough I've to use that stupid import.
Adobe what are you doing? Looks like you let your customers doing the Quality test of your products.

No more video import, nor playback, not even Slideshow module.
In the Import panel, if LR encounters videos in the source, all the thumbnails turn grey, and nothing more happens. Neither pictures nor videos are imported because the process does not start.
For the videos already imported, there is not playback button anymore in Grid's loupe view. I can not play videos.
If i switch to the Slideshow module, i get an error saying "Sequencer defunct".
Rollback to LR 6.1 where everything is working.

That's an interesting detail. Can the rest of you access the slideshow module ok?
And lorem, did you try uninstalling and reinstalling to try to fix that slideshow error or not?
Which cameras are you all using?
Apologies for all the questions, but since we haven't seen this error on any of our machines, we need to figure out the pattern here.

I personally don't feel like installing 6.3 again, I went though install/uninstall process maybe 6-7 times trying to figure out wth is goin on.
I remember back in the day when Adobe used to release Beta/RC versions of lightroom, I used to try them too, it was so much better back then, at least more bugs could have been caught before the "final" version was released, now everyone is the guinea pig.
