Let me click on a line while using GUIDED perspective transform
It's nice that I can click and drag a line to define my horizontals and verticals. It would be incredibly faster if LR would use some vision processing to find these lines for me. For example, I click on the edge of a building and LR would look at the region and find the line and apply the Guide. File this under my mantra: "Please make Lightroom SMART. Code it to assist me not just be a interface full of sliders."

That is in fact exactly what the other Transform Upright controls use (Auto, Level, Vertical, Full). These "smart vision" controls sometimes fail to properly correct the image due conflicting or insufficient horizontal and vertical edge detail. When that happens you'll need to "manually" correct the image using the Guided Upright tool with your "smarter vision."

You would need to align and define at least two parallel edge-areas, which isn't any faster than the current Guided Upright tool. I agree there is room for improvement in the current Upright tools, which often fail for no apparent reason as shown in the example below.
