I have been seeing a lot of people with problems when they upgraded to LR Classic 7.3. Anyone on a Windows machine have no problems? All is running smoothly? With all the problems, I am very hesitant to upgrade.

No problems on my side at all. I’m process and reviewing about 1000 pictures at a time and haven’t had an issue since the upgrade. Window 10 machine, custom build, 32+ CB of Ram with the Llightroom and my Catalog on a SSD but my files on regular drives.

I am on Windows but smooth is very relative(system configuration, workflow etc) as most of the issues don't directly impact me; the "issues" so far aren't stopping my workflow and things are generally the best it's been. I would say upgrade and if things aren't optimal, you can rollback.

Hi Charles,

In a support forum like this you are more likely to hear about the problems rather than the successes. That's just the nature of the forums. I think most people are having a smooth experience.

At any rate, you can easily return to using the previous version if you find issues that affect you. Give it a try and let us know what you think. That's how we catch the bugs!

As always, thanks so much for your participation in these forums.

Take it easy,

Rick

Rick, I am also having the problem where most of my Develop Presets did not import. They are in the proper folder on the machine (MacPro, ElCapitan) but LR does not see them, i cannot "Add" a folder to import them into. I know others are having this issue. I assume Adobe will be working on a fix?

I also successfully downloaded the new version of Lr Classic onto a Windows10 machine with no problems so far.

Working very well here on Windows 10. Haven't seen a single issue.

IMHO, presets is "fragile" and easy to break in this release. The rest of it's pretty solid.
