hiding folders or pictures

Why isn't it possible to hide folders or sensitive pictures in LR classic? It seems to be not so difficult! Set a "hiding mark" for instance "Y" and the picture looks grey or it is not visible anymore. With a special shortcut "hidden pictures" could appear again. Same with folders! Or maybe you don't want to have this item in LR because my question is ask for years already. It would be nice to get an answer. Thanks.

why do you need to keep that folder in Lightroom in the first place?

Do not put your compromising pictures in LR..... And here is!
Treat them directly in Bridge in hidden files or on ammovibles discs that you hide in your safe.

Why? The same could be asked of every request here. The reality is priority decisions have to be made. The number of votes does have an impact on those decisions, so you might like to vote on the request: https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/lightroom_hiding_sensitive_photos

Is it not perfectly reasonable that daddy should want to catalogue in Lightroom his pics of mummy before they had kids but have a safeguard for when the kids burst in on him "working" (or vice versa). Is it really that hard to imagine many circumstances where this might be valuable?

If you use a Mac, the just press Cmd-H when the kids walk in on you. That hides Lightroom completely.
