Help conflicted copy lost my data????
I tried to upload my lightroom cc to my dropbox app so that I could edit from my second laptop. Long story short my old laptop is loosing in the color department and I don't have an external calibrator but I do have a new macbook. Instead of risking porting everything over I figured I would copy it to dropbox first and make sure it would work on the new computer. It worked great for two days and now all of a sudden it is saying that I have a conflicted copy and all my presets are gone etc. It also will not open on my original computer.
I did backup a copy of the catalog but that also seems to be missing my presets. I saved them so I have them but when I go to install them again lightroom is not pointing me in the right folder direction. Basically I think that everything is in the wrong place and I have no idea how to fix or repair it to restore it. This all happened after I started "smart sync" from dropbox.
I am a photographer that has to deliver images to clients did I just royally F myself???? Please help!!!!!!!

Smart Sync is more likely the key here, as far as your missing presets goes. If it's whipped those presets off to the cloud and not left a copy on your local hard drive, that would explain why Lightroom can't see them. Looking at Dropbox's instructions, you should be able to right-click on the Lightroom folder and choose to store the files locally.
I'm guessing you have "store presets with this catalog" enabled in Preferences > Presets, so they'd be stored in a Lightroom Settings folder next to the catalog.
