Enable Modifiy original raw in Bridge

Hi,
I am using Lightroom for cataloguing purposes. I prefer to use Bridge for scrolling and choosing pictures as it is quicker to move from one image to another. So I am switching quite often from one software to the other. This works fine with modify in bridge option for all but non raw files. As soon as want to modify (just view in this case) a raw file in Bridge, I only can modify a copy of the file which is not what I want as this creates a new files in bridge.
=> Please enable Modify Original for Raw files.

Also, I would like to know how I could attach a printscreen so that my sugegstion is clearer ?

best regards

Modifying raw files is not possible. No raw converter does that. The reason is that a raw file has only one color per pixel. The other colors are 'interpolated' using information from the neighbouring pixels. That process is called 'demosaicing' and creates a new RGB file.

If you open a raw file from Bridge in Camera Raw however, make changes and then click 'Done', then those changes should update the preview and so they should appear in Bridge.

Johan, Thanks for help with  the way to attach a Screenshot.

I guess my explanation is not clear.
A more precise explanation:
I use Lightroom for tagging and searching pictures. I prefer Bridge to compare pictures. Moving from one picture to the other is instantly done in Bridge as it display a lower definition pic I guess.
I very often move from one application to the other and to do this, I use the modify option of Lightroom to open in Bridge.  The idea is not to open or modify the file in Bridge, it is just to move from one file to the other one in order to compare them. If I would like to process the raw file, I would not do it there.

So now as it doesn t work I need to open in windows explorer (or finder in Mac) and then open in Bridge. How useless. :-/ Hopefully I do this process for JPG, TIF, PSD and in this case it works, it is just that with Raw files, Lightrrom doesn want me to view the files in Bridge. :-(

I hope it is clearer now...

Bridge, + ACR, only creates a new file if you select Open. It then opens that file in Photoshop.

If you select DONE instead of Open it takes whatever edits you have applied and make a reference in the ACR database. But those edits will NOT show up in LR unless you set the ACR preferences to make a XMP Sidecar file of the edits. Option is on the General options in the General section of the ACR preferences "Save images settings in:  Sidecar ".xmp" files".
Then in LR you have to tell LR to "Import Settings from Disk" by right clicking the icon on that image that looks like 3 lines with an up facing arrow.
