DJI Osmo Mobile 2 LR imports

Distorted DJI Osmo Mobile 2 imports (solved)
Hey All,
I found and solved and issue with photos imported to Lightroom mobile from the DJI app for iOS.
Ensure you deselect the "Lens Profile Corrections" for importing photos in the setting.

When "Lens Profile Corrections" is on -it will warp the your photo to an unusable state.

After the photo has been imported you can apply the lens correction if needed, Just don't do it at import! It will remain distorted if then imported to Lightroom Classic from Lightroom CC.

Looks to be a bug with the camera profile metadata saved to the image within the DJI app.

This sounds like a possible LR bug. Enabling lens corrections should work on import as well as after import.  Can you upload a sample photo to Dropbox or similar and post the sharing link here?

Those two photos had their metadata modified by Lightroom Mobile.  Can you upload a sample that hasn't been imported into any LIghtroom product?

Sorry, I should have been more explicit: Can you please upload to Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar a sample photo that hasn't ever been imported into any Lightroom product?  (The forum software strips all the metadata and resizes photos you upload here.)

I think you're tripping over an existing bug, but we need to clarify details. When I import that Google Drive photo into LR Classic 8.0, I get an undistorted image:

When I then check Lens Corrections > Enable Profile Corrections, I get a distorted image:

The distortion is due to apply the lens profile for the Moment Superfish Lens, a super-wide-angle lens.

Is this the behavior your expect?

In LR's Import window, what is the setting of File Handling > Build Previews?
