Creative Cloud Publish Service Plugin for Lightroom

It would be great if Adobe made a Publish Services Plugin for Lightroom that would connect to Creative Cloud Storage Folder. It seems a natural fit in order to share files and collaborate.

You are familiar with Behance?

Yes... but I am more interested in sharing files (think DropBox) with my retoucher.

I see, I think - I guess Behance support is limited to publishing plugin, for photos, not catalogs n' smart-previews.. (right?)

Behance (to me) is more about sharing / showing your work and I am looking more for a post-production workflow to transfer images back and forth during that process.

Would you mind clarifying - which files would you be sharing with your retoucher?

I'm thinking: catalog/smart-previews, in which case a publishing plugin won't do.

Or were you thinking Photoshop'd files (tiffs?) jpeg?..

If you don't mind educating me - perhaps I'm not the only one that could benefit from more specific clarification.

As a Creative Cloud full member you get 20GB of storage. Plenty of space to upload files and be able to "round-trip" them with others. I am looking to use Creative Cloud as an alternative to DropBox for transferring files to others...

It may be one file, it may be 10 or 30.... they could range in size from 25MB to 2GB.. it would just be a temporary transfer. I have copy.com but was trying to integrate an Adobe product that I was already paying for...and thought it would make things a bit easier if there was a plugin. My retoucher also has Creative Cloud so it seemed like a natural path, rather than making her sign up for yet ANOTHER file sharing service.

I just thought it would be a "natural" for Adobe to make a plugin for their own service is all... I already do "Exports" to DropBox which work fine until you hit up against your personal limit... (which is why I am sure you were offering up compy.com) It was just an idea... btw was about to also suggest a complex file renaming feature when I saw YOUR plugin... just downloaded and looking forward to trying! Thanks!

Thanks hursey.

Indeed, it's a good idea, I was just wondering whether an interim solution should be considered for the mean time, and now I know - thanks again.

Regarding file renaming - I still think you should make that feature request. I'd love to retire as many of my plugins as possible, especially when sorta kludgily done, like FileRenamer ;-}. - make sure you follow instructions..

Cheers,
Rob

I can still simply just do an export to my Creative Clod Folder like DropBox or Copy.com... so it is NOT a huge task....
