Camera Raw/Lightroom Classic: Fuji X-Trans Support?
Is Fuji X-Trans support being worked on?I appreciate that the support is better now than it was, but the reality is that Lightroom is still a long way behind other RAW developers, all of which are less well funded and with smaller teams working on the software.Lightroom has been the leader in RAW processing an image cataloging as far back as I can recall; but with the Fuji X-Trans files many people I know are leaving Adobe Lightroom for one of the many other developers, all of which are producing far better results than Adobe Lightroom.Ones I have personally tested are as follows: Iridient DeveloperPhoto NinjaLightZoneCapture OneApertureSilkyPixRaw TherapeeIridient is very good, and this is a piece of software made by a single man.My question is, if he can get it right, why can't Adobe? They have been leaders in innovation for many years but it seems in some areas now they are falling behind - I have never seen so many people leave a major developer for smaller independent ones, but to Fuji users (both enthusiasts and professionals) it's a pretty simple decision when you compare results. So all I'd like to know is if my patience sticking with Lightroom is justified, and whether a solution is being worked on - or will always be worked on. Or is it a case that the users wanting such a change are not enough to support such work.

We are happy to announce the release of Lightroom Classic CC 8.2. With this release, we’ve introduced a new feature called Enhanced Details.
Photographers using cameras featuring X-Trans sensors should see an improved rendering of their Fuji raw files.
To learn more about how this new feature works check out the blog post: https://theblog.adobe.com/enhance-details/
Cheers,
Carissa

Here is a great example X-T1 latest version of Lightroom vs the now discontinued Apple Aperture. too large to embed.

And an animated gif - again latest version 5.5 vs Iridient.

I like to hang on to this Post, providing some more pics... It is two screenshots, comparing the best that Lightroom can deliver vs. the best that Aperture can deliver.
I am talking about sharpness and details. Lightroom results are absolutely embarrassing. The other ones, named in the first post, are different too, but only fractional.
Here my Screenshots. Please download for full resolution:
The Adobe Development ist very blurry and looks like painted with watercolors. I am very disappointed with lightroom.
Can we get an official statement from adobe how they think to solve this issue?

Fujifilm X-Trans RAW Files are not useable in Lightroom nor Photoshop! Blurry and painterly images resulting..
Hello! The Rendering of Fujifilm X-Trans RAW Files is unacceptable. It s very blurry and looks like a painting, missing fine details and sharpness comparing to EVERY other Raw developer.
I am not the only one who is complaining to this.
Will Adobe take care of this issue?
And will there be an official Statement how this issue will be solved?
Is someone working on it?
Please, answer to this post in any way. I bought Lightroom, short time ago. I am heavily disappointed an cannot use Lightroom for my pictures.

And now I am using Iridient Developer which suits my needs, but I don't have such usability as I had in LR.
Here are the samples made with my Fuji X-T1, strobe lights and processed in ID and LR 5.6, the original RAW file can be found here http://www.mediafire.com/download/9z1...
Full size jpegs can be found here

I got an answer from an Adobe guy. He told me that this is a known issue with the raw converter (no news to us) and that they are working with "high Pressure" on it.
bla bla.
I had the chance to talk to a manager of fujifilm on photokina.
He told me, that fujifilm is providing all the information to adobe that they need to improve raw converting, but adobe makes nothing out of it.
Maybe they wait for the next version of lightroom, to make more money. But that is just a guess.
Fact is, adobe has all they need, but they are making nothing out of it. So i am out to. I go on work with Apples Aperture as long as i could and i wait for the new photos app for mac. this one will be free and uses the best raw converter so far, the apple one.
Capture one is ok, but the image quality is not as good as apple and the workflow is very different and not as good as with aperture.
i will quit using adobe products. the monthly plans and the poor image quality with x-trans sensors make that decision easy to me.
bye!

After some testing I've switched to Capture One Pro.
I didn't align the rendering but you can see an example on one of my own pictures below :
