When I click File to open. I can see jpeg and png files but not psd. Sometimes I need to see the picture to know if it is the file I want .
When I click File to open, I can't see a picture of any psd files. I can see jpeg and png files but not psd. Sometimes I need to see the picture to know if it is the file I want . Otherwise I waste time opening the wrong file only to have to check another one!

When you use the 'Open' command, you have to choose your file, and that is done by using the Microsoft Explorer folder trees. The problem is that the Explorer can't display thumbnails for the .psd format.
There are solutions (not free) to add 'codecs' to add this functionality to the Windows explorer like:
http://www.fastpictureviewer.com/codecs/This also shows why using the organizer is a good idea. The files imported in your catalog all have thumbnails, even .psd or raw files.
