Slate stories are dynamically rendered at runtime using responsive HTML, and the way we do that is very in-browser specific. As such, Slate stories don't print well at this time.
This is not a Slate - exclusive issue. No web pages, however created will print well, as images and graphics on the web are 72 or 96 dpi and printing is 250 to 300 dpi. You would need to insert high-res images as you prepared for print.
