After reading all the messages of frustration, disappointment, anger and dismay, all I can say is ditto. For a while, I tried to be a good boy and switch to Lightroom, but that system is so dense and counter-intuitive it gave me a headache. So now, for my troubles, they offer a free CC subscription and send me a long registration code, but when I entered it, I got an error message saying it was wrong. Good Lord, if Matt Damon can science his way back from Mars, you would think Adobe could give me a complimentary code that works.

You hear this theme over and over on this thread -- what ever happened to customer loyalty? Apple is doing the same thing, trying to move everybody to their Photo app made for people who take selfies and don't know what a color slide looks like. Like most of my fellow disgruntled customers, all I want is a cloud storage service where I can reliably store, attractively display and easily share my photos. Now that doesn't seem so hard, does it?

For cloud backup, I guess I'll have to stick with Google Drive which gives me 1T of storage space for $9.99 per month. It's not pretty but it does the job.

Hasta la vista, Adobe.

I'm sorry for frustration. As a Revel user myself having to migrate I do understand.

I'm not sure why your redemption code didn't work and I have no visibility into that system. I will have an account support agent contact you directly to the email you signed up on this forum.

Again I apologize for the trouble.

For any that purchased Revel via Apple I have great news for you.
I've never needed to contact Apple so was not sure what to do. Checked their website, found link, emailed with request for refund.
Later in day I received a very polite email agreeing to refund. Moneies would be paid to my account within ten days.
You can imagine my surprise when next morning I received another email saying monies had already been credited back to me!
All I can say is Than You to Apple for excellent customer service and SHAME to Adobe for appalling customer care!!
If you are reading this Adobe, when are you going to finally say SORRY!!!

may I ask where you found the link?
Thanks

The email I received for refund came from:
musicstore_mac_uk@apple.com
The helpful person that dealt with it was 'Kel' from iTunes Store Customer Support.
The link that might be helpful is:
http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/wow
Yearly subscription refund is now in my account.
Couldn't be happier at present with Apple customer care. There has been times they have let me down but in this instance I have to give credit where credit is due.
Adobe, still no apology from you!
Hope all goes well with your refund.
Regards,
Ornella

I am so disappointed with Adobe this will be the last product I ever purchase from them. The solution to ask us to move to a product that doesn't offer the same features is ridiculous.

Sure you expect us to spend countless hours with a new service to only change it for the worse in the future?

All those hours wasted.........

When will you learn that customer service is the key to success, without customer you have nothing!!!!

I am hugely disappointed in this move as well. What was the point of paying for months to have this storage facility to see it withdrawn? This is not the first time Adobe has done something radical without concern for the user.

Following on from this, Apple support do not have a clue what to do as it looks like you have not informed them. I can't see how I will get my money back.Any help please.

Hi Andrew,

If you purchased through Adobe, we are processing refunds now and will be sending them out shortly.

If you paid through Apple/iTunes from the Mac or iOS you'll need to contact Apple as they exclusively handle the accounting for subscriptions.

Thank you.
So far Apple/iTunes are saying they know not what to do! Please can some one from Adobe speak to them, so we can get the re-imbursment. Thanks.

Ho about all the pictures on Adobe Revel Premium?
I have more then 90GB there...
Are those pictures disappearing after 2 Dec?

Dear Glenyse,
Thank you. I still see no refund coming my way and the whole process is too complex and very time consuming. I am looking at what my options are, including dropping CC. I use a range of tools from adobe, but mostly lightroom. If I loose Adobe Revel Premium storage, I am obliged to look at what else others offer.

Andrew,

As Glenyse indicated it will depend on how your subscribed.

If you subscribed from within the iOS apps (iPad/iPhone/iTunes) you will need to request a refund from Apple as they control all payments and refunds made to them.

If you paid for your subscription via Revel web online - you subscribed through Adobe and we will be refunding annual subscriptions automatically.

Hope this helps

Hi Athos,

Have you tried to download only one library at a time? Deselect all the other libraries and select only one of the offending libraries to download. See if that works first.

Please let me know and we'll go from there.

I use Revel to share proof images to client from my wedding catalog, my baptism catalog, my photoshoot catalog and others, since i use separate catalogs how do i sync since one catalog deletes the other upon new sync?
Why does Adobe keeps ending apps after clients get used to its functuality helping our job.

I'm now trying to download my entire 56.7GB of photo and video collection into my external hard drive. The problem is Adobe Revel Downloader NEVER moves past 9% and keeps timing out at 7% or 8% (see attached screenshot), the furthest I could get is 9%. After it times out the app simply becomes not responding and I will have to quit the app and start all over again. I have been repeating the same process over and over again in the past few days and I have not seen any improvement so far.

My biggest concern now is users with a huge library will never get to download everything in time before the deadline where Revel will be shut down. I hope this is not how Adobe treats its long-time users. I hope Adobe will look into this matter and provide a more reliable way for users to move/download their library.

Some advice or assistance will be much appreciated.

Lÿo

Sorry you are having problems.

We tested downloading libraries that were 2X the largest library any Revel user has - so we're confident the downloader will work with all sizes of libraries.

I need some specific log information from you to help you further.

I'll contact you via the email you used to sign up for this forum for more info.

Hi Jason,
I'm having the same probs as Lyo
I've got about 182GB of pictures and videos online and the downloader keeps timing out at around 22.5GB before it stops downloading
Obvious concern is that I'm unable to download my entire photo collection before the deadline (23rd Feb 2016)

I hope you can assist me with this problem
you may contact me with the same email add which I used to log in to this forum

thanks
Alex

I have tried now for over a month off and on to use your Adobe Revel Downloader, I'm on a windows 10 Machine.

I've tried it in Compatibility setting with Win8;
I've tried with my CC login and FB login

When I use the FB Login I receive this error:
{"error":"ride_AdobeID_acct_terms"}

I have the regular Revel Program ( not the downloader ) installed and working fine, but it limits me to 100 photos, I have over 6,000 photos on the server.

Please provide a soluton if possilble. You've no idea the money I've lost (from damaged /lost files ) from your switch TO Revel, now, PS is back (thank the gods) and I've no way to download them.

Interestingly, I have the Full Creative Cloud, have had since you opened it.
I have Premier Elements, PS Elements and Express.

NOTHING DOWNLOADS THE DAMN FILES???? What's with that?

Elaine,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

To use the Adobe Revel Downloader to get your Adobe Revel files you'll need to be sure you're logging in with the same user ID and password as you used to log into your Windows Revel application. So checking your account info in Windows Revel would be a good first step.

Second, try downloading the file again. We tested the downloader extensively with Windows 10 so it should work. Perhaps something happened with the download.

If none of that works ping us back here.

Jason, I'm a pse user. If all of my albums are local so none are in the revel cloud as mobile albums anymore, then can I import this into Lightroom and all my albums will appear with the same settings in Lightroom? Thx

Hi Jason and Simon,

For more information on Elements please go to:
https://www.adoberevel.com/transition...

In the middle of page there is a heading "Adobe Revel FAQ for PSE and PreE Users" There is great information there, especially the video under “What will the discontinuation of Revel mean for my Elements software”

So Adobe, what you're really saying is...

There will no longer be free storage and sharing, all your photos up online will be destroyed by a certain date. If you don't download them (again) they will be destroyed. Adobe will not offer the ability to transfer data between accounts, thereby forcing the end-user to migrate the data manually. There will be no sync feature between Elements/Revel and LR and/or CC.

That sound about right?

Precisely!

Yes, Neal. Unfortunately, a user will have to download their Revel files before they can transfer them to another service.

If I was a photographer I'd maybe be forced to pay for this service, but I'm not, so I won't.

So, Adobe, what you're saying is that the free sharing service which originated from Elements Organizer, which then turned into Revel, is now no longer available? Ha!

I paid for revel through Adobe.

I did not get the email from Adobe Revel titled, “Important notification: Download your Revel photos and videos now.”

how do I get a copy of the email so I can get one year of Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan for free?

The email was sent to your Adobe ID email address. But you should check your SPAM trap in case it incorrectly intercepted the message.

Being French, I had no answer to my comment... hard... and not really quality attitude
Well I try with a translator.
I admit that I do not understand everything and that I have the impression to be fooled. And of little which I understand here, I am not the only one.

My question amounts rather simply (for those who will not read the follow) in: how to replace "Revel" with the same functions and in all simplicity without spending either lots of money.
At first I am not a specialist of the photo, nor the computing. My level limits to use "Photoshop" in its version "Element" and still without using all the functions.
I thus used "Revel" to share my 15 000 photos (several years of digital technology) with various people. And it because it was of a formidable simplicity.
I agreed to test "Lightroom" and the cloud but I really have the feeling that this has nothing to do.
First of all it seems that the space of storage is ridiculous. Then, I do not how see obtaining the essential functions of "Revel":
1) Ranking by date, by library or by place
2) Immediate display of all the photos on a smartphone or a tablet or a computer and a possibility of downloading those who interest us.
3) Automatic Synchronization from my hard disk
4) Especially, make it simply for me and for those who share my photos.
Indeed, concerning Lightroom, I admit that I abandoned not feeling me capable of spending a time there being enough for understanding.
My problem is not to get back my photos (fortunately I do not trust in hosts and Adobe confirms my feeling) but just to find the same functions somewhere else (unless Adobe is capable of proposing it through another service than I would not have understood).
Thank you for your help and especially if you can answer me in the most basic possible language ...
Happy end of year to all.

I am a revel user from China.
I never got the notification of Revel transition. Well, I checked my Gamil inbox, maybe lost in spam, what ever... seems it's announced 10 months ago. I kept using Revel sharing in whole year, it's better to pop a message in mobile client to reminder. I didn't realize this until login from desktop PC last week.
I did not try to claim too much, as I am a user of free plan. Comparing with other transition plan provided by Google or MS, option is very poor here, even users get to do this manually for next generation app.

Now I just want to download all the photos. 1st problem is I can't download the "Downloader" easy, get to use VPN for this in China, although Revel app itself works fine. 2nd, after I worked this out, I opened Downloader , but can't not sign-in, it's running around and nothing happen, anyone can give suggestion?
