Revel: Link to shared album takes people to the login page

I sent a link of my shared album to some (via email) and the link takes us to the login page of Revel. Looks like a bug to me. The link should take the person directly to my album without a need for a Revel account. Even after signing in the person still cannot see my ablum

Are you on PC or App? I just tried it on adoberevel.com and when I pasted the shared link to an album into the browser, it took me inside the album for viewing. It seems to be working correctly. The person you share with does not need Revel to view the photos. Is it possible that you were allowing collaborative sharing of a library instead? That does require the recipient to login to Revel and is a bit different.

Take a look at this link and see if you did something different:

When I tried the second time - closing my browser and login back - this time the link worked just fine and as it is supposed to be. Thanks for your prompt reply.

Hello Jean
When sharing images in your albums, the other person that you send the link to does not need an account for Revel. You can even test this your self. Copy the url from one of your shared albums in Revel. Then log out of Revel and paste URL link in a browser window. You will see that you are not prompted to log in to Revel.
Make sure you are logged out of Revel. Copy and paste this link in a browser window

When viewing these images in a browser, you should not be prompted to log in to Revel.
Thanks
Scott

Jean,

I am not sure why it acted differently that one time. I am glad it is working well for you now.

Pattie, what is collaborative sharing? I am having the same problem as Jean Marie but it hasn't gone away.

You have the ability to share a link to albums with friends and others so that they can see and optionally download your photos.

The other way is what we used to call collaborative sharing. We now call it a group library. You invite other family members and/or close friends who must also have revel accounts to join your library and you can all deposit photos in the same place.

this link should help explain it.

If you are having a problem that it is taking you to the login, you are probably copying the link from within your own account rather than sharing the album, viewing the link, and copying it to send to others.
