Revel as an external backup

I was using Revel as an external backup, does Creative Cloud will save my photos in the cloud in a safe place where I can go in case that my computer or my disk drive die?

No, the Creative Cloud Photography Plan is not an external backup storage answer. You may wish to get an external HD to back up your images.

But Revel was performing that need for me, a hard drive is not an outside backup. I have 3 external HD but no easy way to backupo outside my home. So the transfer to Creative Cloud is not a solution as Adobe mentionned in its letter, CC do not do what Revel was doing. I am already a member of CC photography Plan.

Gaston,
I completely understand.

What I can tell you is Adobe is working toward having a Creative Cloud Photography plan that will allow Lightroom to back up your originals to the cloud - so you will have offsite backup.

When will this happen? my subscription with Revel finished on December 6Th and I do not intend to renew it because you will finish this app in February 26th 2016.

Hi Jason, when you say that ' Adobe is working toward having a Creative Cloud Photography plan.... to back up to the cloud', do you know if this would be the current plan (£120 a year approx.) or a separate Revel like one?

Gaston and Selondon,

I wish I could say when, where and how much but that's all still in development and I simply don't know.

Jason
Just wondering if it is a sound decision for Adobe to discontinue the Revl application without having a reliable plan B to offer customer that pay for the service since 3 years. Revel was intending 3 years ago to offer an external backup solution but now Adobe change its mind and offer a 2go thru my photography plan
Poor, very poor decision, Sorry to tell you but you shall know better.

Hey Jason,

To save time on development may I recommend the LR team take a look at another App that I have heard about.
It's pretty popular with its users and ticks most of the boxes.
A company of Adobe's calibre should be able to purchase the development rights no problem.
It's called erm, R...... :(
