Problems with the new Object Selection tool.

Problems with the new Object Selection tool. Win 10, CC21.1.1 - the object selection settings are not available! See them being used on tutorials, but Adobe talks about them only for the iPad . Any suggestions?..

Not that I can tell you why, but the Object Select tool doesn't appear to load with the default workspace. Click on the 3 dots at the bottom of the toolbar to open the edit toolbar section — look on the right  side for the Object Select tool and put it in the left side.  It will be normally clumped with the Quick Selection tool (W).  You might want to save your tools as a custom preset—just in case something hides it from you again.

If this doesn't work, let us know.

Thanks for the reply, Cristen, but that wasn't exactly the problem.  I do have the Objext Selection tool in my tools, it's just that I don't have a specific "settings"  capability.  When I use the tool, all I have available is "select subject" and "select & mask".  According to tutorials I've seen, there should be more settings available.  As such, I cannot make "sensei" additions or subtractions to the original selection made by the O. S. tool.  Yes, I can add or subract with regular tools, but they are not these smart selections.

What seems to be specifically missing f rom the options are Sample All Layers, Enhance Edge & Object Subtract.  And can't find anything to the left of the Home button!
