Need to hide the unnecessary interface screen that sits behind the displayed working file - it blocks my whole desktop, which I need to see!

Is there any way to get rid of that unnecessary and very annoying interface screen that appears in the background in addition to the file I'm working on, in Photoshop CC ? As a kludgy workaround tried just minimizing its window size on the screen, but that then makes my files open at ridiculously tiny microscopic screen sizes like .07% and I have to manually resize them - so that's not an acceptable workaround, I work with lots of files quickly.

I need visual access to my desktop while I work and this thing completely blocks what's left of an already cluttered workspace, and I have a big screen. I can't believe this is part of the interface with no way to get rid of it. What purpose does it serve? Tech support Chat didn't know, I just finished my chat with them.

There has to be a way to get this off my screen, it's very disruptive to my very busy workflow - is anyone else having difficulty with this? Please reply ASAP with a fix, tech people and engineers, thanks! -

Do you mean the application frame?
On MacOS you can turn that off (but Apple's new style of apps wants it on) from the Window menu.
On Windows the application frame is required by Microsoft standards, and cannot be turned off.
