Thansk for mooving.

Iam using a mobile phone Samsung A5 2016 (SM-A510F) with Android 7.0 Kernel 3.10.61

Lightroom CC App Version 4.2.1 with activated technology preview (best photos).

My process:
Importing all photos only through Lightroom CC Classic on a Desktop Win 10 and converting into DNG.
Iam adding Exif-Data like Copyright:

I sync with cloud and using Lightroom CC on mobile phone. After swiping some photos left and right some photos are loosing the exif-item "Copyright". The photo than is synced back to cloud and also within lightroom CC Classic the item is missing:

Thanks for the information.  We have an issue logged for this and it should be fixed in an upcoming release.

I have exactly this issue making it unusable as a viewer or editor. Even when I put the metadata back in via the app, the next time I view it, it gets deleted. Please fix soon!

The status is a bug was filed for this issue and we expect the fix in the next update. I do not have an ETA I can share for that yet.

Ok i thought the issue for you was even fixed, because there was an update since the beginning of the thread. OK so Adobe is aware of the bug and can reproduce it.

I have additonal info about reproducing the issue.

Background: The info shown in the left top corner of a foto is refreshed round about 1 up to 2 seconds after a photo is swiped.

When a photo is swiped and user waits for refreshing the info and than swiping again, the issue does not occur.

But when user is swiping fast, so that info data is still shown from the last photo and than is swiping back, the metadata (copyright) is deleted.

Sum: Lightroom deletes metadata when user swipes a photo during the refresh time of shown info.

Hello, can  you please share a video of your issue? I think I have the same issue but was told that Adobe is not able to replicate the bug.

Here you see a video.

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-p7XMT42DjE&feature=youtu.be

You will see two examples where the item "copyright" is deleted.

Example 1:
Second 20 you see picture 8/22 with "Martin Stelter"
Swipe to the right to 9/22 (also with this item)
Swipe to the left back to picture 8
Item is deleted

Example 2:
Second 30 you see picture 9/22 with "Martin Stelter"
Swipe to the right to picture 10
Swipte back to the left to picture 9
Item is deleted.

My report, that the items only are deleted when the info is not fully loaded is not true. As you see here i can wait for refreshing the info text and the bug is still there.

Thanks. Looks exactly the same. Can you also replicate it when the sync is paused? Just have noticed that you are using a Samsung phone, Galaxy S8 with Android 9 in my case.
