LIGHTROM: Tethered Cropping Preset
If you can apply a preset that contains crop and rotation info to an image in the Library, why then can't that preset be applied to an incoming tethered capture? Everything else in the preset dialog can be applied, why not cropping and rotation? Yes, I know, that was a redundant sentence.
So, the idea is to have the cropping/rotation info contained within a preset chosen in the Develop Setting applied to tethered captures. It would be very helpful when shooting to see exactly what you've decided crop. This is most helpful in the studio.
If this has been suggested before, I didn't see it in the forum.

1. Shoot the first image.
2. In Lightroom, Crop and rotate as you like.
3. In the Tether Bar, under Develop Settings, choose Same as Previous.
4. All subsequent shots taken via tether will apply the settings made in step 2.

Using the Develop Setting "Same as Previous:"
1. Cropping a capture will apply the crop along with all the other develop settings to all the subsequent captures.
2. Rotating the crop will be applied along with all the other develop settings to all the subsequent captures.
3. Rotating a capture 90 degrees does not apply the rotation to the subsequent capture - all the other settings are applied, including cropping to the subsequent captures.
It's the 90 degree rotation that's important and that's not working with the Same as Previous.
So, back to where I started with my request - How about a preset that allows the cropping and rotation to be included? It would also be nice to have that on the before/after previews as well.
Thanks!
