Is there a HUMAN with Adobe who can help with downloading Photoshop CS2?
I had a hard-drive crash. Tried to reinstall PS CS2. It won't activate. Phone number doesn't work. Went online and got an inept person in India, who directed me to this link: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suit... Well, it doesn't install. It is requesting a DISK and won't allow me to redirect to the disk2.exe file. Is there ANYONE who has a workaround on this? What a nightmare! I've spent so many thousands of dollars on Photoshop and Adobe products since 1997 and I get ZERO support.
(Msg says 'ease up on the caps in the title. It looks like your shouting. Well, that's because I AM SHOUTING!!! So frustrated!)

Sorry to hear about your frustration; making someone feel they must shout is no one here's goal or intention.
The truth is Photoshop CS2 is a VERY old application -- we released it more than ten years ago. As a result, CS2 almost certainly would not run on any modern operating system and as a consequence, we cut off support for it some time ago. In fact, searching our servers, the oldest version I could get my hands on was CS4. So, even if sending out a disk was something we were permitted to do (which it isn't), I can't even find a copy to send.
Now, all that said, the representative in India actually gave you a correct link. If you sign in and accept the warning notice (that these apps are so old as to be potentially unreliable on modern hardware/software), then you are actually presented with the option to download Photoshop as well as a number of other apps from this timeframe. I personally downloaded the Windows build on my Win7 sp1 machine. I even went so far as to run the installer until it asked for a serial number and everything sure appears to work. What was the problem you were encountering? Perhaps there was a glitch in your download?
I'm happy to help you solve this problem; if you need further assistance, please just ping me here.
Thanks,
David

The problem is that I downloaded the files as directed. I opened the files (starting at the bottom of the list), then did disk 1. It gives an error stating that characters are not recognized in the destination drive. (x86, I guess) Then when I change to c:\ it seems to 'install' but still asks to insert disk 2. Well, it doesn't give me the opportunity to direct to disk 2 file and of course, there is no actual disk.
I'm using Windows 7 with mega ram, mega storage and mega video power. It accepts the serial number but keeps asking for the second disk.
