Hue and Saturation doesn't work

I cannot get hue and saturation to work... at all... on any image. Just happened out of the blue. What have I done!? What can I do to "turn this function back on"?

Does it work on a flat document?
Any chance you're applying it to the layer you thought you might be working on? (Sorry, I have to ask :D )
Is the Opacity for the Adjustment layer set to 100% in the layers panel?

Please retry starting Photoshop.
If that doesn't work, please retry starting Photoshop with preferences deleted.

(It'd be helpful if you'd copy and keep the bad pref file before clearing it so we could take a look at it.)

Thanks!

Out of nowhere the hue and saturation function doesn't work... at all... on any image. I quit, re-started... I can't get the hue and saturation to work at all. What the heck is going on!?!?!

Looks like the saturation is already (almost) at the maximum for its color space. There is a slight increase in saturation (so the dialog box does work), but not much.
