Does Lightroom 5.3 have a memory leak?

I'm having a memory leak issue with Lightroom 5.3. Editing simple IPTC metadata and reordering images on the grid quickly causes RAM use to go up until Lightroom, and the entire system, freezes. Restarting Lightroom starts the process again, but the RAM use quickly goes up. It usually freezes at about 6GB of use. I don't have a problem in the Develop Module or while flagging photos in the Library.

I tried deleting my Preferences file and immediately got the same result. I'm having this issue on two different computers, one a desktop, the other a laptop. Both have i7 processors running Windows 7 64-bit and 8GB of RAM. I recall having a similar issue several years ago with Lightroom 2 or 3 and Adobe ultimately fixing the problem with a new version. Any suggestions?

It happens to me all the time, both with the exif/iptc dialogue open and the default dialogue (albeit default dialogue seems to hold out longer before crash).

Usually at the crash, the Lightroom hugs 5-6 gb of the 32gb memory, and processor hovers around 13%. Suspecting this to be a memory leak, as the computer becomes unresponsive until Lightroom is closed via task manager.

I'm surprised the problem hasn't been adressed/discussed by adobe, as it is a serious problem. It does corrupt data, and it makes managing large amounts of files risky.

Thanks Tina. I'm still experiencing the issue as described.
