Creative Cloud Account Issue

I was reviewing my CC account yesterday getting ready to reup for another year. In so doing I noticed that my computer is listed twice as being Activated under two slightly different names:

My Computer Name on WINDOWS, and
My Computer Name on WINDOWS_64

So I deactivated them both and then logged out and back in again. Only the "My Computer Name on WINDOWS_64" was listed as Activated. I checked a couple of times yesterday with no duplications. I thought all was well and good.

This morning both names are again listed as Activated. This is not a big deal except I'm concerned that when I really want to add another computer to my account my single computer will already count as two. Has anyone else run into this anomaly?

Hi JC,

Older Adobe Creative Cloud applications, versions 2018 and earlier, use a 32-bit version licensing app. Current versions, 2019 and newer use 64-bit version licensing app. The top listing is an app license from an older version and the bottom is from a current version. 32-bit and 64-bit activations on the same machine are counted as 1 against your 2 activations.

Thanks for the follow-up and explanation Jeffery. Having said that, the way this is handled is far from user friendly or intuitive from a customer perspective.

I agree. I brought it up with the licensing activation team. They said there were changes coming to make it more obvious from all the surfaces where activation appears.

Thanks for the additional follow-up both with me and especially with the Licensing Activation Team.

All the best,

JC
