Photography: Raw File Support - Requests and Information?

I just got a new camera and Camera Raw and/or Lightroom does not recognize the raw files, has no camera-specific profiles or has some features not enabled. What do I do?

Hello,

I keep on being advised by the Adobe customer support that in the next update I should be able to use my RAW files from my recent purchase of the Sony ZV-1.

However, I am not getting a specific timeline when this update will happen. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

This is a list of cameras supported but of course Sony ZV-1 is not on the list.
https://helpx.adobe.com/in/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

It's almost August 2020. The Sony ZV-1 was released in May 2020. Why does it take 3 months to enable compatibility?

Regards,
Chris

Lightroom Classic will not import Canon R5 files. When will this camera be supported?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled When will Lightroom Classic support the Samsung S10 series, especially the plus.

I've had a Samsung S10 Plus for ten months now and still no support for it in LR Classic. There's support for the S9 series and the newer S20, but not for the S10.

This phone has a very wide camera (13 mm equivalent on a full frame DSLR) with a 16 MP sensor behind it, making it attractive for very wide images, especially considering I shoot Nikon DX for the added length at the long end (D7200). This very wide look is a welcome addition to my capabilities to complement panoramas with the 16-85 (24 mm full-frame equivalent).

The other two cameras (both 12 MP) are the equivalent of 26 and 52 mm on full-frame.

Please can we have this camera profiled.

Thank you!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Need Camera Standard Profile for Canon EOS R5.

Adobe, the Adobe profiles for the Canon EOS R5 produce horrible color,
to the point that I cannot use Lightroom (Classic) and cannot post process my EOS
R5 raw photos. I need a Camera Standard profile ASAP. When will it be
available? I cannot believe support for the R5 was released without it.

Hi,

When will the Samsung S10 and S10+ cameras be supported in Camera Raw?

The S9 and even the S20 are already supported but not the S10, why?

Thank you

Just bought my Lumix S5, after making some photo's with it I looked forward to edit them in Lightroom. Sadly I cannot import the RAW files because there is no support (yet). Anyone knows when they will add support? I really need to edit my photos

See if you can use Adobe's converter to convert your RAW files to DNGs, then import those DNGs to LR. To find the converter Google adobe raw to dng converter.

I hope this works for you.

This page says a 9/14 update works with the DC-S5. Did you get the 10_1PEL772E build? There is an update link on that page if you still have 10.1 installed.

Adobe support may be several weeks away since there was a recent update.

Will photoshop or Lightroom iPad support canon R5 HEIF file so it can be edited on iPad? Currently it is not supported or is there a way I can make it happen?

I just bought the new Lumix s5. I cannot edit or import raw photos into lightroom. I know it will be on the next update, but when will it happen? It is very bothering to have to wait when you must edit photos. It messes with my entire workflow...

I recently bought a Sony A7R IV and I can't import the raw files in Lightroom. After clicking on Import, I get this message:

Some import operations were not performed.

This file cannot be opened by Lightroom

I am running MacOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6 and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC 8.2.1 Release Camera Raw 11.2.1.

I tried it on another Mac using MacOS Mojave Version 10.14.3 and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 9.2, and it worked there.

What is the issue in my case?

Is this incompatible with the High Sierra Mac OS?

You need to update to LR Classic 9.4, LRC 8.2.1 doesn't read the newest Sony RAW format.

Upgrade as suggested OR download the latest DNG Converter.

Hello there,

I started working with the EOS R5 but LRC tells me that there is no camera profile available. When will a profile be available?
