Photography: Raw File Support - Requests and Information?
I just got a new camera and Camera Raw and/or Lightroom does not recognize the raw files, has no camera-specific profiles or has some features not enabled. What do I do?

Maybe it was the RAW FILE nemesis that flung out the old (worked perfectly fine) bath water just to mess with all of us to upgrade every piece of software on planet Jaypeg?
Who's responsible? Let's get 'em! Let's hang 'em by his toes!

Adobe (working hard, working on weekends, really hard work on working on it hard)
Windows (huh?)
Nikon (same problem)
Pro Photo (huh uh, not yet)
NIK (NOPE)
Portrait Professional (convert it before you can use it)
Toast 11 Pro (not so fast mr.! We don't recognize this file type go back to file school)
More than likely it's some little green man who put a kink in all the software and he's holding the real RAW for ransom!
Yeah, that's it.
LOL! This whole experience is a farce. It's like the old "Who's on first" bit.
I'm so tired of guessing, and converting and cross checking that I think I'll start programing a find the green man program and eat him with my purple girl!
Now, if you get all that, you're probably as frustrated as I am.
Peace.

Wait for ACR 6.7 in a few days or weeks.

If you look at the date of the Camera RAW 7 BETA plugin, it is February 9th, while the date of the ACR 6.7 update for PS-CS5.x is April 20th.
I would expect PS-CS6 to either include an updated ACR7 that handles some of the newer cameras, or an update to ACR7.1 to be released sooner rather than later.
